Maryam takhtkeshian

 

Maryam Takhtkeshian was born in Tehran, Iran. She holds a B.A degree in Photography. Maryam cooperates with different newspapers and magazines in Iran as a documentary photographer. She also works as a Still-photographer. After about ten years of work in still photography in Iranian cinema, she has decided to turn round her camera in the opposite direction to document unseen moments behind the scenes. The result is a significant number of photos which record the stories behind the main stage unbound by immediate and direct limitations and requirements of still photography.

Maryam's work has been exhibited in different galleries such as Silk Road Gallery, Shirin Gallery and Sales Gallery. She awarded the Crystal Simorgh for Best Photo in the 35th and 38th Fajr Film Festival, Iran.
