Abibat Adedayo is a Nigerian artist based in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Through her art series The Traveler’s Path to Serenity, she explores landscapes as metaphors for transformation, serenity, and self-discovery. Her work captures moments of transition using expressive colors, luminous skies, and winding paths. Currently, Abibat is expanding her exploration of color and atmosphere, deepening the connection between nature and emotion. Her work serves as both a reflection and an invitation a space for contemplation, escape, and appreciation of the irreplaceable beauty of the world around us. Inspired by serene natural landscapes and the vibrant beauty of sunsets, my work invites quiet reflection and emotional connection. Working primarily with acrylics, oils, watercolors, and occasionally gouache on paper and canvas, I carefully select each medium to serve a distinct purpose: acrylics for vibrant layering, oils for depth and texture, and watercolors for capturing light and atmosphere. Much of my inspirations are drawn from the peaceful, dreamlike sceneries found in animation and storytelling. Like these imagined worlds, my work seeks to evoke a sense of wonder, encouraging viewers to pause and find beauty in simplicity.
