November occupies a space of suspension: a moment poised between the lingering vibrancy of autumn and the stillness of winter’s approach. It is a threshold where movement gradually slows, yet the quiet persistence of transformation continues beneath the surface. Flux and Stillness: Art in the Midst of Transition brings together artworks that reflect upon this fragile balance between change and permanence, motion and pause, becoming and being.
The exhibition unfolds a philosophical dialogue in which flux and stillness are not opposites, but interdependent forces intricately woven together. Stillness can carry the residue of motion, just as flux often harbours moments of calm. Through varied artistic practices, the works presented here contemplate transitional states—whether found in nature’s cycles, personal and collective memory, or shifting social and ecological landscapes. Together, they highlight how the interplay between flux and stillness shapes the textures of human experience and the evolving world around us.
