Jewellery occupies an unusual space between object and body. It can be held, worn, carried and encountered at close range, yet its scale does not limit its capacity to function as sculpture. Worn Forms brings together artists who approach jewellery as an independent artistic form, exploring how material, structure and meaning can be concentrated within objects of intimate scale.

Across the exhibition, jewellery becomes a site for experimentation. Traditional and unconventional materials are shaped, assembled and transformed into works that engage with the body while extending beyond conventional ideas of adornment. Some pieces respond directly to the human form; others exist between wearability and autonomous sculpture, questioning where jewellery ends and sculpture begins.
The works also reveal the particular relationship jewellery creates between artwork, wearer and viewer.

Unlike sculpture encountered at a distance, these objects can move with the body, occupy personal space and acquire meaning through touch, proximity and use. Their scale invites a different kind of attention—one that is close, physical and often personal.

Worn Forms considers this intimacy not as a limitation of scale, but as a sculptural possibility. Together, the works demonstrate how jewellery can carry ideas, histories and material experiences while remaining objects that can be worn, held and transported: sculpture made portable.
