I have been working as an artist since 2015 and have exhibited in galleries across London and Belfast, including a group show with the Northern Ireland Arts and Film Festival in 2017 (“Gene series I & II”) ; a solo show at the UoA Gallery, Belfast in 2019 and a group show in Holy Art Gallery, London in 2021 (“Disturbance in the City”). In 2019 she was a recipient of the iDA Award on behalf of the Arts Council Northern Ireland. She has produced commissions for award-winning playwright, Lorna French and Irish poet, Patrick Walsh. My work is a visceral response to nature and the environment represented as fragments of memory. I paint primarily on canvas, glass and paper. I like to combine abstract marks with textural layers to create pieces filled with evocative energy. My latest work, “Flight” is a small series on paper featuring earthy tones of blue, green and black intersected with layers of tape and pencil. Each piece is created using cruelty-free products. Taken from a small series called "Flight" on canvas and paper. This piece continues a fascination with landscapes and dis-jointed memory. It's a birds-eye view of a flight over marshlands. It was created using layers of tape, ink and paint. I used rollers to apply the base colour onto tape and then gradually built up the the blue and green hues.
