It is a part of the University of Manchester and received the Art Fund’s Museum of the Year prize in 2015 due to reaching 440,000 visitors in its first year of opening. Possessing work from a wide variety of artists, the gallery centres upon modern artists such as Henry Moore, Pablo Picasso, L.S. Lowry, and many more.
Finishing off is the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. This belongs to the University of Oxford and includes world famous collections of Egyptian mummies, contemporary art, & many more. Ashmolean is one of the oldest galleries in the UK as it was founded in 1683. The work showcased in the museum can also be described as diverse as international art is also featured.
