As the year draws to a close, we find ourselves at a crossroads between reflection and anticipation—a moment ripe with meaning and creativity. The December 2024 exhibition, “Reflections of the Past, Visions of Tomorrow”, invites artists to delve into this delicate balance, offering a space to explore the interplay between memory and aspiration. This exhibition showcases works that engage with the experiences, memories, and transformations of the past year while casting a hopeful or critical eye toward what lies ahead in 2025 and beyond. Artists were encouraged to draw upon both personal and collective journeys, examining the ways in which recent social, political, environmental, and cultural events have shaped our understanding of the present.

Through this lens, the exhibition poses poignant questions: How have the events of the past year influenced our identities and communities? What lessons have we carried forward, and what challenges remain unresolved? The resulting collection spans a spectrum of artistic expressions, from abstract meditations on time and change to deeply personal narratives of growth and renewal. Together, these works capture the comfort of nostalgia, the excitement of possibility, and the uncertainty of uncharted futures. “Reflections of the Past, Visions of Tomorrow” is a celebration of art as both a mirror and a map—a medium through which we remember, reflect, and imagine what comes next.

The artists whose work features in this exhibition are: Aliaksandra Markava, Alice Diamond, Anne Lydiat, Anne Schrödl, Annie Chin, Bill Redshaw, Desa Philippi, Diana Meridi, Grethe Thomson, Irfan Ajvazi, Iris Lingyu Zhang, Mengqi Xia, Natalia Ershova, Oksana Bochina, Selma Eduarda Pereira, Summer Dawes, Tara – Lee Hollander, Tuna Elsalihie, Yujin Jang.
