Suwen Wang- ECHOES OF THE DISPLACED-Experimental Filming 2.jpg

Echoes of Us brings together artists from across the globe to reflect on the lasting impressions we leave—on the world, on others, and within ourselves. Presented during a month shaped by Pride celebrations, World Environment Day, and a vibrant season of festivals, this exhibition captures the dynamic energy of human experience in motion.

The works featured here explore the echoes of presence, memory, pride, joy, and collective emotion. They speak to what remains—felt, heard, remembered—long after a moment has passed. Artists were invited to interpret the theme in their own way, resulting in a diverse and resonant body of work. From deeply personal narratives to shared cultural reflections, the exhibition explores a range of perspectives, mediums, and voices.

The exhibition explores a range of themes that speak to the reverberations of human experience. Some artists examine the resonance of identity, reflecting on how personal or cultural backgrounds shape their creative voice. Others focus on celebration and visibility, capturing moments of joy, pride, and self-expression. Works inspired by sound and silence offer visual interpretations of music, memory, or atmosphere, while those exploring traces and impressions consider what we leave behind—and what lingers in our absence.

A number of pieces respond to the collective pulse of society, engaging with ideas of movement, gathering, and emotional exchange. The theme of temporal shifts appears in works that blur the lines between past, present, and future, and the notion of global footprints emerges in artworks shaped by travel, displacement, and the influence of place. Together, these themes form a rich and varied landscape of artistic response, resonating with the shared and individual echoes that define our lives.

The artists whose work features in this exhibition are: Anna Yakusheva, Cal Dawes, Caroline Lindqvist, Claudia Ungersbäck, Emma Goring, Grusha Tiwari, Gwynne Penny, Helen Birnbaum, Hui Zhang, Iryna Kovalenko, Leigh-Anna Barber Corbett, Luca Serra, Margie Nottingham, Maximilian Vermilye, Sean Bw Parker, Sigurd Kraus, Sonali Jain, Suwen Wang, Sylvia Igglesden, Sylvie Doizelet, Tetiana Vlasenko, Yang Liu.
